Which chilled foods you can eat without reheating
It is safe to eat (without heating) any foods that are already cooked … This includes things like leftovers and the heat-and-serve meals that are prepared in store at your supermarket. Obviously things that are normally served without cooking are also safe. So are fruits and vegetables that are usually cooked.
The only real safety risks are with uncooked meat, eggs, and products that contain these (such as cookie dough). Frozen meals vary as to whether they are precooked (and thus safe) or uncooked. If the package directions call for a long cooking time or admonish you to ensure that a particular temperature is reached, the product is likely not safe to eat unless cooked per the directions.
